Searching for Service
No new Wild Polio cases reported this week. We are now 6 weeks since the most recent reported Wild Polio Case – on 7/20/23 in Pakistan.
What is that Polio Picture? AM 950, The Progressive Voice of Minnesota presents a weekly radio program called Searching for Service. Terry Ziegler was recently interviewed on the “LIVE” radio show thanks to Past District Governor Lloyd Campbell. The interview aired recently and if you want to check it out, it’s available now HERE. You can also listen some of the other shows there.
“I suppose everyone who does a live radio or TV interview is a little surprised by how they sound and I’m sure everyone who has done a live radio show wishes they had said a few things differently, but overall, the hosts Joe & Kelley Kirk did a terrific job and it was a great experience.” Terry Ziegler
Polio Survivor Rights
Unfortunately, the rights of people with post-polio syndrome and other disabilities are often overlooked. Individuals need to take a stand and speak up for themselves and everyone faced with discrimination, neglect, or disrespect due to ableism. Advocates are the ones who make a real difference. If you need more information on post-polio syndrome advocacy, please don’t hesitate to contact ppsadvocacy @gmail.com.
