Some people go to extreme heights to Eradicate Polio – Like the amazing Kurt Matzler who on Saturday completed a solo Race Across America bicycle race (from Oceanside,CA to Annapolis, MD) – a total of 3,017.8 miles which included 74,064′ of elevation gain – in just 11 days, 6 hours, and 15 minutes. Why, you might ask? Kurt with his great Support Team Rotary RAAM Polio, have have made thousands more people aware of Rotary’s # 1 Priority – Global Polio Eradication – and have raised over $4 million for the END POLIO NOW cause. Novel Oral Polio Vaccine Type 2 – Approximately 370 million doses of nOPV2 have been administered across 21 countries under its WHO Emergency Use Listing (EUL) to date.
